ROSSMOYNE Junior Football Club will share in the spoils of West Coast Eagles midfielder Chris Masten’s round 16 AFL NAB Rising Star nomination.

The club will receive a Club Recognition Award comprising $1500 for a NAB savings account, Sherrin training footballs and other equipment, AFL training manuals and a framed presentation photograph of Masten.

The 20-year-old was a standout player in the Eagles loss to Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium, gathering a career-high 38 possessions. He is the Eagles’ first Rising Star nominee this season.

At the end of the season, one of the nominees will be chosen as the overall AFL Rising Star for 2009.

The award acknowledges the role junior football clubs play in the early stages of players’ development.
