FOOTBALL was the hot topic of the day at Nollamara Primary school last Wednesday.

West Coast Eagles’ first draft pick Nick Naitanui spoke to students and told them about his football experiences.

The Eagle, who still also plays for Swan Districts, visited the school as part of the West Coast Eagles club and Smarter than Smoking Development program to speak about the game.

Nollamara Primary School principal Steve Lockwood said as 70 percent of the students were from countries other than Australia and it was good for them to hear from a positive role model such as Nick, who was born in Fiji.

A football program is running at the school at the moment and students are planned to take part in the Eagles Cup next term.
