ORGANISERS of Yanchep’s annual Capricorn Fair are looking for local entertainers to help make this year’s event the biggest yet.

Capricorn community development co-ordinator Erin Borrett said they already had a big range of local businesses signed up to display produce at the fair, which will be held at Old Nursery Park on March 13.

Parking will be available at nearby Wilkie Park.

Artwork, chocolate, candles, plants and jewellery are among the choice of local produce for sale.

“Last year, we attracted about 2500 visitors and the event is certainly growing in popularity,” Ms Borrett said.

“At this point, stage performers for the day are not confirmed so we are looking for something that will appeal to all ages, like a dance group or a local band.”

Ms Borrett said they had included attractions for teenagers at this year’s event, such as laser skirmish and a racetrack with motorised mobile eskies.

“We will also still have the face painting, bouncy castle, vertical bouncer and camel rides for the younger children,” she said.

The fair will run from 3.30pm to 7.30pm. Space is still available for stallholders with their own canopy.

Entertainers interested in performing at the event can call Erin on 9284 0910.
