MANDURAH Little Theatre’s next production The Snow Queen is a tale about two young people in love.
When the boy Kai catches a sliver of the demon’s magic mirror in his eye, he sees everything in the world as bad and twisted.
Fascinated by the beauty of the Snow Queen (Diana Oliver), Kai (Chris Barnett) goes with her to her palace in the far frozen north. Gerde (Nikkita Dixon) searches the world to find her friend and has several adventures along the way.
With the help of a well-meaning crow (Tim Forrester), a rowdy robber girl (Monique Kinnest) and a wise reindeer (Krispin Maesalu), she makes her way to the Snow Queen’s Palace to find her lost friend.
The production, directed by Karen Francis, is told through acting, dance and song and has a valuable lesson on holding strong to what you believe in.
The Snow Queen opens at Mandurah Senior College on January 7 for two weekends and is at Koorliny Arts Centre on January 21 and 22.
